Appeals Advocates

The role of the Appeals Advocate is to assist clients to prepare and present their case; through submission and representation, to the Veterans' Review Board (VRB) or Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). The Appeals Advocate has a responsibility to prepare and present the case using available evidence, whilst ensuring that the VRB or AAT is not being misled.

Although personal relationships may develop between the advocate and the client, it is important to note that it is inappropriate for an advocate to act as a witness at the hearing by giving evidence in support of a case.

If you would like to make an appointment to see an Advocate please call the centre on 02 6056 5285.
